Introduction
All
currency entered must be in US dollars.
The “Fish Diary Application” will
help you keep up with your stock and spawns and even associate pictures of
your stock with each one. It allows you to:

keep up with the breeders you do
business with, including any comments about the breeders and
their "Auction Handles"

keep up with the people who
contact you about your stock

keep up with the suppliers
you do business with

keep up with the
equipment/food/supplies you purchase from each supplier
-
keep up with all of your stock
(and associate a picture with it), allows you to flag it whether it is
breeding stock or for sale stock, add comments about the stock and
also allows you to associate it with one of your spawns
-
keep up with all of your spawns
and the important information related to each spawn
-
keep up with all of your sales,
who purchased the stock, which stock, how much they paid for the stock
and the total income from the sale (This does not replace your own
personal invoicing program)

backup all of your data files to
a backup directory
This program was written with the
intention of helping fish breeders to be able to keep better records of
their stock and their spawns. It will help them to look back on
particular spawns and see if maybe the water chemistry and/or temperature
on one spawn produced a larger spawn than another using the same breeding
pair.
This program has been tested on
Win98, Win2000 and WinXP operating systems.
Files:

Owner - This is for your
information pertaining to your company / hatchery and where you will store
your registration information.

Breeders - This file holds the information about the breeders you either do business
with, keep up with, or plan on doing future business with and even
their auction "handle".

Breeders Notes
- This is the file where you enter all of your comments concerning
a particular breeder.

Suppliers - This is where you enter the people and/or
companies where you purchase your supplies, equipment, food,
etc.

Equipment Order - This is where you can keep up with
your orders of equipment, supplies, food, etc.

States - This already has all the states in the US
provided, along with Taiwan (TI), Indonesia (IS) and Canada (CN).
If you need to add more just create a two digit code that does not
already exist and add it.

Contacts - This file is used to keep up with people who
inquire about your stock whether it be for future purchase or
whatever.

Genus/Species -
Allows you to enter the Genus/Species that you work with most often so
you don't have to keep entering the same information over and
over.

Stock - This is the file where you
enter all of your breeding stock and stock for sale. It even gives
you the ability to add pictures of your stock and pictures of the sire/dam, grand
paternal sire/dam and grand maternal sire/dam.

Stock Notes - This is the file where you enter all
of your comments concerning a particular stock.

Spawns - This is where you enter
information concerning each spawn. It even gives you the ability
to add pictures of your stock and pictures of the sire/dam, grand paternal sire/dam and grand
maternal sire/dam. Enter all the information you can so that you can look
back on each spawn and see if there’s a pattern or something particular
you did to produce a larger spawn. Example: water
conditioning, feed, water temperature, lighting, etc.

Shipper - This file contains
information about the shippers you use, the different services they
offer and the approximate number of days for delivery.

Sales - This is where you can keep
up with information pertaining to the sale of your stock.
